Hypertrophic scar(HS) is a common complication following burns, surgery and trauma. It does not only affects appearance, but can also causes serious deformities and disabilities, especially for Asians.
"Smart Scar Care Pad" (SSCP) is a newly invented padding material for the better control of hypertrophic scar and Keloid. SSCP was invented by Professor Cecilia Li from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. It consists of a layer of specially designed silicone rubber and a layer of specially formulated medical grade silicone gel. In conjunction with pressure therapy and silicone therapy. "Smart Scar Care Pad" can evenly distribute pressure while reducing scar tension and preventing water loss. SSCP is conformable, durable and comfortable to wear, suitable for use under pressure garments or other elastic bandages.
